OK, so Kare-A-Lot is a little rough around the edges, and I mean that in the best way possible. It isn't one of those cookie cutter daycares that look like something out of a stale modernist nightmare built to produce automatons in a sterile environment. The place has character, and your kid will run, jump, and play all the way until its time to go home. They'll paint, play on the playground, and hop in your car with enough arts and crafts to cover a thousand refrigerator doors.
I learned about Kare-A-Lot from my friend who recommended the daycare after my child was born. He said they had basically potty-trained his son, and I said say no more. The place did not disappoint. First, the teachers are amazing. They are full of character. I'm talking an episode of Hey Arnold type character. It is hard to pick just a few, but Ms. Kozie (I am sure I misspelled her name, apologies in advance) is absolutely awesome. She is like that crazy aunt that you can hear from a mile away that absolutely LOVES your kid. Ms. Kani is such a sweetheart. You can tell that she genuinely loves the kids. Ms. Shaday is also an absolute hoot, and thats just to name a few. I'm not saying it is all because of the Kare-A-Lot all stars, but my kid was potty-trained in mere days. Straight to big kid underware, no pullups (I make no guarantee that this will be your experience).
Not to mention, the place is like the model UN. You got teachers and kids of every sort in there. Chinese, Romanian, West African, African American, Rich, Poor, somewhere in between, Kare-A-Lot has it all. So if that level of diversity and acceptance isn't exactly your thing: 1. whats wrong with you, and 2. do better.
The kids also learn a TON while they are there. Before long, your kid will have the ABCs and their numbers down. I'm pretty sure my 3 year old has already started to correct my spelling. Not to mention, you get lots of updates and pictures through the app.
I also don't want to forget, THEY FEED YOUR CHILD. No lunch prep in the AM... unless you want to for those folks who only feed their kids organic avocadoes and strawberries from Costco (no judgement, I buy them , just for myself though).
All that said, and in all seriousness, finding a good daycare is hard. But I can say that there are few things better than knowing you can drop your kid off somewhere while you go to work and know that they are in a good loving place that they are actually excited to go to.
Sadly, my child no longer attends Kare-A-Lot because we had to move for work. Honestly, leaving Kare-A-Lot was like leaving family. A family that had watched my kid grow from a baby, to a toddler, to a kid. Whenever I get sad about it, I just remind myself the kid was getting close to graduating anyway (sniff sniff).
If you are on the fence about Kare-A-Lot, I can't recommend them enough. I've watched them handle medical emergencies and staff turnover like champs. They got Love, learning, and food, what more do you need. Besides, at the end of the day, they really do...care a lot!

I love this place feels like home with a family caring for my kids and I feel safe my kids are there great staff and helpful with kids and getting them on target with needs that is benefits the child and patient and I can't complain kids seem to enjoy it and I haven't had any issues at this place I love it highly recommended
This is a good daycare. It is the first daycare my son feels excited to go. From there I can tell he is safe, and well treated. Thank you
We are so happy with the experience we have had bringing our 18 month old to this center! Like many first time parents, the thought of trusting our child to strangers was daunting. We enrolled in this program while on the waitlist for another, but it didn’t take long for us to deicide to just stick with Kare-a-Lot instead 🙂
Everyone at the facility is lovely; Gladys, “Gaga” loves and cares for our baby as her own. We never expected our very attached tot to get so comfortable so quickly. It makes the work-life struggle and parental guilt far more bearable.
The photos and updates on the app throughout the day make it even better.
No, this facility doesn’t have all the bells and whistles with modern well-lit “minimalist” rooms (to be honest, this is what drew us to the other facility initially). But if what you’re really looking for is trust, genuine care, and safety, we would highly recommend you put this facility on your list.

I’ve been bringing my little one to Kate-A-Lot since the fall, and we absolutely love it! She gets so excited when we walk through the doors. The location is great, and it’s very affordable. We’re so happy here and plan to stay for many more years.
My child loves it here. The curriculum is effective, and the staff genuinely cares. Highly recommend.

We have found Kare Alot to be a great place to take care of our kids. Nothing but love for Kare Alot!
My son has been at Kare a lot since about 6 months old and has been there for over 2 years so far. I was very nervous about choosing the right daycare but I definitely feel like I made the best choice. We love it, the teachers are great and my son loves it so much he doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. They have a great curriculum and feel as if they actually care. You get updates and photos all throughout the day too. Knowing my son is well taken care of at his school makes a world of difference. Would Def recommend.
I love Kare A Lot! The staff is amazing and my kids love it there. They are very organized, welcoming and friendly to everyone. They check in and make me feel at ease that my children attend their center. If you are looking for a great center for your child/children this is the place to be!

Kare A Lot has been under new ownership and management for the past couple of years. What was once a nice business, has been on a steady decline. Almost all of the long time and best teachers have either quit or been fired by the new manager. Thankfully, our kids have moved onto Kindergarten. However, I was over billed on my last bill and they kept charging us even after we were no longer attending. I've been waiting on a refund for almost 3 months now. This is a poorly ran business and I would not trust them to care for my children.
Our boys (age 5 and 19 mo) have attended since 3 months old. The teachers here treat the children like gold. The young infant room teachers have been there for 10+ years and know more about raising children than I ever will. We have seen consistent development milestones reached, both physically and mentally. They helped encourage potty training. We get artwork and crafts daily. They serve breakfast, snacks, and healthy lunch and provide milk. Plenty of space for indoor and outdoor play. They make it a point to stay open as much as possible and realize that working families are depending on them. It will be bittersweet when our boys leave this place.

The care and development of my child is brilliant. They do a variety of activities and take lots of photos via the Brightwheel app. My child is so happy to come to Daycare everyday and that makes me feel good. They’re always open supportive and engaging interactions between providers and children which has made this experience one of the BEST!!!
Both my children attend Kare- A-Lot. I feel like it’s been the best decision we’ve made for our children. Not only do they give them the care and love you want for your children but the education. Even in the infant room there is a curriculum. It’s been extremely helpful for their development physical and motor skills. Teachers have become close dear friends to us. With the new director taking over we’ve seen wonderful changes and couldn’t be more happier! Very thankful for Kare-a-lot and would HIGHLY recommend.
All 3 of my boys are attending Kare a lot . I couldn’t be happier and satisfied of the great care , attention , love , teaching and I see all the positive changes and improvements on a daily basis. And I of course highly recommend any parents that looking for a great day care to come to Kare a lot !

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Kare-A-Lot. As a parent, it is always scary to leave your child in the hands of others but from the beginning we always felt at home at KAL.
Our son started in the infant room and we had an amazing experience with Merita & Kozeta, they are truly a gift! We were at KAL up until our son was 2.5 (as we moved) but we would have stayed as long as possible as we had great experiences in each room that he was in. The staff as a whole from teachers to directors were fabulous, attentive, and felt like they really cared.

We came off cycle in the middle of the winter and got accepted to pre-K class immediately - no waitlists, no other hassle. We received extremely warm welcome from the Kare-a-lot directors and pre-K teachers Mrs. Jackie and Mrs. Holly. We had great > 1.5 years there - teachers went above and beyond for kids: they have music teachers, they have jump bunch, Zoo visits, Dr. Insect, water playdays in summer. As a bonus - it is in the heart of Columbus/open from 7 am till 6 pm Monday through Friday, they are open year around except for major federal holidays. We had a very positive experience with the daycare.
My son goes to this center and i could not ask for better teachers to take care of him. The other staff members/administratives that i run into always greet you with kind words. Every room you walk into is clean, nice, organized with age appropriate toys/materials for the class to play with. I highly recommend this center.

My daughter went to Kate-a-Lot from around 2 months old until she started Kindergarten. Absolutely wonderful!!!! Wonderful teachers at every level, healthy food, relavent and fun learning. My daughter is doing excellent in Kindergarten and still misses the staff at Kare-a-Lot. I highly recommend this learning and care facility!!
My children attended daycare here for over two years and we had a wonderful experience. It wasn't until we moved away and had the chance to tour other facilities again, that we realized how lucky we were. The teachers are polite, caring and friendly and also give great effort to help the kids learn. Detailed curriculum is given and followed. Highly recommend this place if you're looking. Thank you Kare-A-Lot!
